Spurs storm King's men with Castle

San Antonio 115, New York 111

Knicks lead Finals, 2-1

Usually it is the relentless veterans, the ones who understand the demands of each fleeting moment and don't understand anything but hard work and silent duty, it's those slick tricksters outlasting wearying youngsters. Not in Game 3, where the kids caught up to the adults.

This weird series, every team winning on the road and why not: Spurs felt like guests in San Antonio, the Knicks weren't allowed to be comfortable in their own home in Game 3 due to an unwelcome visitor that the boss needed to prove fealty to.

Dolan, Silver, pick a boss.

For the viewer at home, this annoyance was a long memory by the time San Antonio took its de rigueur dozen point lead in the first quarter. A basketball game began as soon as one was cleared to commence, the gnashing novelty of James Dolan's luxury box neighbor immediately forgotten because hoops.

Until he left, which was around the same time the Knicks blitzed toward a comeback and lead, and we were reminded of his perpetually anti-Midas mode.

And I thought of him one more time when the Knicks were giving it away in the third quarter. Reminded after noticing James Dolan courtside, JD bringing the stank (boiled McDonald's burger) down with him.

That's it, and that's the last mention of him in this column. Unless it happens while I'm editing. Sue me if I edit too long.
