Minnesota moves on

Isn't this a lot of basketball? If you love hoops, it is time to subscribe!

Five bucks to read about all of it, especially that weird Phil Jackson story.

Minnesota 110, Denver 98

Timberwolves take series, 4-2

This was a sweaty watch, each team had to work so hard to put points on the board. The home team due to unfamiliar lineups, misaligned primes, Denver due to Minnesota's ultra-aligned defense. Minnesota saw that home crowd and knew Denver wasn't going off, no way. Better team or not, Minnesota was still moving feet.

And talking, Timberwolves tucking, digging into screens and anticipating sets directly after they'd begun. Denver was absent its misdirection, yet the Wolves will have to hear about being the underdog, as if the better team lost.

Denver couldn't breathe, the Nuggets attempted elevation but the jumpers weren't falling. The Nuggets rolled into action to suddenly remember that, despite a wingspan that is noticeably less daunting than Acie Law IV's, Mike Conley is left-handed and left-handed point guards get in the way defensively, their feet are turned differently and it messes with motion.
