Tuesday Play-In
The Play-In was a good idea.
We used to lose these teams in March. Now we get to see the guy who scored 83 points versus LaMelo Ball (but good shots). Kawhi and the 42-win team he led from a 6-21 hole against the Suns team which never considered holes, or ceilings.
All cappers on competitive campaigns worth appreciating. There was a lot of picking on the NBA's regular season again, we get it, the league's ten tanking teams can ruin an evening's ten-game slate without a single tanker taking on another. But those punks are gone now, counting the hours until mid-May's lottery.
The rest, featured in Tuesday and Wednesday's Play-In, are darn good NBA teams. Plus the Warriors.
(Consider subscribing! This week is full of postseason previews, every player in every rotation, and it'll only cost the price of something which costs five bucks.
Like the fancy seltzer, the name brands in eight-packs. I'm somewhat fizzy, myself.)
