Timberwolves with extra teeth
Remember, at the 2031 NBA draft, it isn't "the Rob Dillingham trade," but "the Ayo Dosunmu-trade."
Chicago hopes it turns back into "the Rob Dillingham trade," and, you know, good luck with that. Minnesota already made Ayo the prize of the trade deadline, at least on the Western Conference side. At least while Minnesota is in the Western Conference.
Minnesota did it right, and with the right player. Laundered lottery talent with some other GM's future first-round pick (like we'll have professional sports to attend in 2031 lol) to cash in on veteran, exactly-what-we-need, help. Dosunmu started in the exhausted Anthony Edwards' absence since St. Patrick's Day and the Wolves are 3-1, topping the Celtics in Boston on Sunday. Ayo is up to 13.2 points per game on 52/42/87, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 27.7 minutes per game, 18 contests, Wolves 12-6 when he plays.
Lets do this for a bunch of other trade deadline participants.
